L'Entremise
Entremise, a French term for intermediation: bringing parties together, guiding the process, then stepping back once the mandate is fulfilled.
L'Entremise is how Patina guides a transaction, from its earliest stages to completion.
It begins before anything reaches the market. An intention to sell, not yet voiced. An asset never offered. An owner one does not approach without an introduction. Patina recognises these situations and lets them mature, long before they come to be called transactions.
Representation follows. Patina quietly defends the interest entrusted to it, exposing neither the asset nor those to whom it belongs. The relationship comes before the transaction; neither is conducted in haste.
Only then can the introduction take place. Between an owner and the right acquirer, between a work and its next custodian, Patina brings together what belongs together.
What remains is to see the transaction through. Patina supports this final stage, working with the parties' advisers in confidence and within the scope of its mandate.
A transaction comes to a close. Trust endures.
